Following on from the very successful TV Show trials on the Richard & Judy Show in the UK, shown in the video on the right, a revolutionary new all-natural treatment for cataracts has been growing in popularity globally. The manufacturers, Ethos Schweiz LLC, now ask the question ‘Could invasive cataract surgery soon be a thing of the past?’. Their leading brand of cataracts eye drops are called Ethos Endymion “Bright Eyes drops for cataracts”. They were specifically developed as a brand new cataracts treatment using N-Acetyl-Carnosine (or just NAC for short) which is a very special derivative of the naturally occurring neuro-dipeptide ‘L-Carnosine’ which is a great anti-glycating agent as well as being a super antioxidant that quenches free radicals. When NAC eye drops are administered to the eyes, they penetrate through the cornea into the aqueous humour below and go to work directly; protecting the lipid tissues of the eye against damage from light whilst also helping to reduce damage from free radicals and the harmful effects of glycosylation which are commonly associated with many different degenerative eye diseases.
Cataracts are the commonest cause of blindness and are a major problem the whole world over, with an estimated seventeen million people who are blind due to this very debilitating eye disease. To give you a further insight into the true extent of the problem, there are over 28,000 new cases reported globally every day. Cataracts accounts for a serious loss of vision for approximately twenty-five percent of the population who are over sixty-five years of age and about eighty percent of people over the age of eighty.
Bright Eyes Drops were first introduced to Europe by the world-leading biochemist Professor Steven Charles Gallant who had studied the many different effects and benefits of L-Carnosine ever since he first graduated. His colleague, Professor Alexander Boldyrev in Moscow, had first discovered the positive effects that N-Acetyl-Carnosine and NAC eye drops had on dissolving cataracts in 1988. Steven said that when his father first discovered that he had cataracts he really didn’t relish the thought of going under the knife and having the operation so Steven tried to procure some of the drops for him but, at that time, they unfortunately weren’t readily available. So reluctantly his father had to undergo the cataracts surgery but this got Steven to thinking how great it would be to develop a new product for cataracts treatment which involved a simple course of cataracts eye drops instead of invasive cataract surgery. After many years of further research & development work, alongside clinical trials, Ethos Bright Eyes eye drops for cataracts were finally born. This very exciting breakthrough in medicine has already helped literally hundreds of thousands of people the world over to dissolve their cataracts naturally and without the need for invasive surgery and to thus enjoy much clearer and sharper vision and avoid their otherwise inevitable blindness.
Professor Wang in China carried out one of the clinical trial studies on ninety-six patients who all had different degrees of severity of cataracts; from mild to moderate cataracts, right the way through to fully developed mature senile cataracts. This test was carried out over the period of six months with the trial subjects applying just one or two drops a day into each eye being treated. The results were outstanding and showed a one hundred percent success rate on patients with mild to moderate cataracts and an eighty percent success rate on the patients with more mature senile cataracts. The twenty percent of people with mature cataracts who didn’t see results during the trial would have also seen similar results if they had continued with the treatment for longer as more mature cataracts take longer to dissolve. Another similar clinical trial showed an improvement of 41.5% to 100% in the patients tested, again over the period of six months, and with sustained improvements noted two years later on. Since those early day trials, it is now recommended to apply the drops hourly throughout the day; 8, 9 10 times a day being ideal and, by doing so, the recommended course of cataracts treatment has now been effectively reduced down to just six weeks.
In the USA a cataract operation costs approximately $3,000 for one eye and $6,000 for both eyes. Eye surgeons will only operate on one eye at a time due to the 1% risk of failure as noted above. For those poor people who are left blind in one eye NAC eye drops are then the only option left available to treat their one remaining still good eye. One box of Ethos Bright Eyes eye drops for cataracts costs approximately $100 and the heavily subsidised six-week course of six boxes just $400 which is just a fifteenth of the cost of surgery and without any of the associated risks so offers truly excellent value for money as a viable alternative to cataracts surgery.
It is easy to see from the information above why more and more people are opting to treat themselves with cataracts eye drops, in the comfort of their own home, as opposed to going under the knife with costly and invasive cataracts surgery. But if it is so good why don’t doctors, ophthalmologists and eye specialists recommend this type of treatment for cataracts yet? One of the main contributing factors is that cataract surgery is a $6.8 billion a year industry in the states alone and this figure is constantly rising due to all the baby-boomers now coming to the age where they are starting to suffer from these debilitating eye diseases. One, more open-minded, Doctor in the states summed this current situation up perfectly in the penultimate paragraph of his newsletter where he wrote:
“The enormous benefits of NAC eye drops should be the topic of every nightly newscast and front-page headlines on every newspaper – but you and I both know that just won’t happen. Cataract surgery and treatment has become too big of a business. With the oldest of the baby-boomers just now beginning to reach the age where cataracts starts to form, the condition will become a surgical “cash cow”.
